Course Overview

This course provides delegates with an understanding of the role and responsibilities of an offshore safety representative. Delegates will gain the minimum level of training required for safety representatives as defined in the Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations – SI 1989/971.

In order to complete OPITO Offshore Safety Representative Training, delegates must hold:
    In order to complete an OPITO Offshore Safety Representatives Refresher Training course, delegates must hold a valid and in-date OPITO Offshore Safety Representatives Training certificate. Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

  • Certification: An OPITO certificate will be issued upon successful course completion.
  • Revalidation: There is no revalidation requirement for this training programme.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport
  • Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement
