Course Overview

This is a 2-day course in which delegates will confirm knowledge and understanding of the role of the first aider, area assessment and dealing with major and minor illnesses. The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, during which delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content. On conclusion of the course delegates will have a practical assessment with oral questions.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites Required!
In order to complete First Aid at Work Requalification (SQA), delegates must hold:
    Delegates must be at least 16 years of age. Delegates must hold a recognised and valid certificate in either First Aid at Work or HSE Offshore First Aid. Due to the physical nature of the course delegates must be able to complete a medical screening form prior to course commencement. Delegates must be able to understand and communicate clearly in English.

  • Certificate validity (months): 36
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 3 years.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport
  • Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement
