Course Overview

Technical Tests are the most flexible, economical and ‘instant’ way to assess and validate the ability of individual employees or prospective recruits to perform the skill-based tasks that the industry needs. A Technical Test ensures a Craftsperson or Technician has the skill, ability and job knowledge relevant to the work they are required to carry out. Each Technical Test examines a very specific aspect of an engineering construction discipline.

In order to complete ECITB TEM03 Testing Portable Equipment, delegates must hold:
    Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement

Course Content

This course will train delegates how to isolate the UPS equipment from all sources of supply to access the UPS internal components. The delegate will carry out a visual inspection of the battery and will take voltage readings of each cell and compare to manufacturers recommendations.

  • Certification: An ECITB certificate will be issued upon successful completion
  • Certificate validity (months): 36
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 3 years.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport
  • Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement
