Course Overview

This course is a combination of MJI10 and MJI19 which are stage one of the four-stage ECITB MJI training standards validating skills in the specialist critical bolting area. Delegates will gain the skills required to dismantle, inspect, prepare, assemble and tighten flanged and clamp connector pipe joints using hand torque and hydraulic torque equipment.

Course Content

Delegates completing this training course will be able to;
- Ensure intended task conforms to related specification, methods, process, techniques and procedure
- Dismantle hand torque bolted connection systems
- Remove components from hand torque bolted connection systems
- Replace components in hand torque bolted connection systems
- Assemble, secure and hand torque bolted connections
- Verify the integrity of the assembled joint

  • Certification: An ECITB certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
  • Certificate validity (months): 12
  • Target audience: Anyone involved in mechanical joint integrity in the workplace.
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every year.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport.
