Course Overview
City and Guilds assured Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant (SIRP) Awareness provides basic knowledge regarding the scope of isolations and de-isolations at a work site.
Delegates will be assessed in the form of a multiple choice test after all theoretical sections of the course have been completed, followed by practical desktop exercises and a final practical exercise on the training skid.
Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a City and Guilds assured certificate. Further on-site training must be conducted at a delegate's work site to ensure familiarisation with their work site regulations and procedures.

In order to complete City & Guilds Assured - Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant (SIRP) Awareness, delegates must hold:

- It is recommended delegates have an understanding of fundamentals of process operations, ISSOW level one, basic piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) before attending this course
Course Content
By the end of this training programme delegates will be aware of;- Isolations and the various roles and responsibilities of individuals
- The importance of following safe systems of work
- Employer and employee requirements within the scope
-The importance of human factors in safe isolations
-The isolation and reinstatement of plant process standards

- Certification: A City & Guilds certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
- Certificate validity (months): 24
- Target audience: Performing authority, process isolation authority, area authority, offshore installation manager, site controller, department head (maintenance), permit to work (user), permit coordinator.
- Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
- Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport.
