Course Overview
The Basic Drilling Awareness course introduces those from a non-drilling background to the drilling process, including the different types of drilling rig and their individual operating environments.
The complete drilling process is explained, from starting out with top hole, to handing the finished well over to production. The course also covers the main equipment components that are needed to do this. Key players in the drilling operation are identified along with the role they play, and we also look at how the modern drilling industry is pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
