Course Overview
The course provides a combination of theory and practical elements, giving operational personnel both an understanding of the reasons behind the requirements for leak testing and the practical requirements needed to carry out nitrogen leak testing using snoop leak detecting method on a purpose-built skid.

Course Content
Theory• Introduction to why we leak test.
• Safety considerations when working with Nitrogen and associated eqpt.
• Use of & understanding of P&ID’s.
• Leak testing equipment and it’s safe use.
• Building leak test packs.
• Understanding & following leak test procedure.
• 20 question test paper.
Practical
• Make up manifold connections.
• Performing nitrogen leak testing using snoop under supervision on a small volume section of pipework.
• Depressurisation procedure, venting safely and re-instate the work area.

- Certification: A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion
- Target audience: Operational personnel who are required to undertake nitrogen leak testing using detection equipment.
