Our competence based course, will provide an understanding of safe operation techniques for high voltage and low voltage systems. Included in the course are examples of mandatory documentation, switching procedures, safe isolation procedures and detailed descriptions of equipment operation

Course Content

To provide the candidate an understanding of HV/LV switching for maintenance and utilization of process plant operations.
Required Health & Safety knowledge to allow safe working in an HV area.
Correct procedures and planning to carry out a safe isolation of LV and HV equipment using permits and switching schedules.

  • Certification: A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion
  • Certificate validity (months): 60
  • Target audience: Personnel with electrical, instrument or mechanical background who are involved in the Operation, maintenance and testing of HV/LV equipment and safe working practices.
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 5 years.
  • Venue: 3T Training, Aberdeen
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport
  • Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement
